At the time of writing, there are at least three games of Dungeons and Dragons being played by various groups within Green Man Gaming – it’s clear that we like it a lot. I’ve written tips. At 2nd level, rangers get hunter's mark for single targets and hail of thorns for close groups. And a Fighting Style (Archery, of course). Assuming 16 or 17 Dex, that takes them from 1d8+3 (7.5) at +5 to hit to 1d8+1d6+3 (10) at +7 to hit. At 3rd level, you can go for more utility (Beastmaster) or more damage (Hunter).

alright, so far me and a few friends have been looking around in DnD 4e for some insane combos including the rogue at lvl 30,
so far we have a possible 1 round, 42d8 + 39 + 10 ongoing damage, and its legit,
with a theoretical 45d8 + 52 + 10 ongoing
and what i think is wrong, but has yet to be defended 52 d8 + 72 + 17 ongoing
now i know this is insane, so ill explain some of it
firstly, we are useing a drow rogue, level 30, no magic items and minor situational possibilities (CA, and some other stuff that occurs often enough to make it more realistic to get)
so far all the combos we have gotten are from the lvl 30 drow rogue, paragon path Dread Fang from the Martial Powers book, and the Perfect Assassin epic destiny also from the Martial Powers book,
we are useing a ton of feats, and effects from those paths, and 1 action point, thats what we got to work with, now can anyone post a better scenario that is realistically possible and with proof of it working?
if you want, ill post proff of the 42d8 dmg and the theroy on the 45d8
this is more a challenge, hah, so cmon, beat 42d8 + 39 damage, oh, real quick, if they opponent gets bloodied, make it 44d8+52 and 10 ongoing damage,
use any books published or offical rules, just state where you get your info for proof
