Do Rites Dmg Stack Blood Hunter

A Ritual is a powerful multi-block structure added by the Blood Magic mod. The effects of Rituals are varied and powerful, from a simple water source to creating an area of creative mode flight. There are two types of rituals: weak and standard. Sucks about that errata ruling on the crossbow requiring a free hand, though. Thankfully, including the Blood Hunter is already adding homebrew, so a game where you're playing one is more likely to allow that to be houseruled away for the sake of the build:D.

Blood Rites is the 6th book in The Dresden Files, Jim Butcher's continuing series about wizard detective Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden. Sep 26, 2017  Science, writing, opera, and geopolitics are just a few of the many ‘hats’ worn by Sharon K. Gilbert is the author of the non-fiction work Ebola and the Fourth Horsemen of the Apocalypse; The Laodicea Chronicles, a novelized look at the spiritual battle set in current time; The Armageddon Strain, a biological thriller that blends science and the supernatural; and her most recent. Deep Cuts causes the main target of all Heart Strike casts to take additional damage when Blood Plague ticks. This heals you for 100% of the damage done. Unlike other tanks, and due to the relative weakness of all our traits, it is currently not advisable to stack any of them, but to instead seek a diverse composition in traits.

Looking for some advice on how to build my Blood Hunter for a new campaign.
Can't multiclass, since RP requirements for that, and with my character's background, it makes no sense to be anything but a Blood Hunter.
I'm also not necessarily looking to min/max. Balance is nice, but more looking for advice as how to maximize my concept rather than the character as a whole.
Backstory, his village is wiped out by a monster that tells him that he has potential and to get stronger and find it when he can prove to be a challenge. He's also an exile from his country since he was part of an experiment that gave him his powers and a new type of experimental weapon.
The weapon is a homebrew. Chain-sword, 1d8 melee, versatile (1d10 if two-handed), also functions as reach 1d6, and can hit all targets in range as 1d4 as long as I hit with subsequent attack rolls. This may be changed if it's OP, but this was the DM who made the weapon, not me. I'm also going with Dueling style and a shield (since dueling says no weapons, and nothing about shields, and the DM agrees with this interpretation), so I get a little more dmg and some more AC.
The party is myself, a fighter dmg focused, a druid with a pet (DM given, wanting to 'balance' the party without more players or a bunch of NPCs), and a rogue I'm hoping I can convince to go ranged (hand crossbows and crossbow expert/sniper), and an NPC Mystic the DM will be having fill any role we're lacking (since the class is all about versatility). Party balance isn't the major focus, since the DM said he'd make things work with the party design instead of punishing us for not having a balanced composition (the glaring lack of a tank as a note).
Human Variant (heavily armored lvl 1 feat)
Stats
Str 16
Dex 10
Con 16
Wis 13
Int 10
Cha 8 (partially role-playing, partially dump stat)
Since we're starting at lvl 5, using lvl 4 ASI/Feat to take Heavy Armor Mastery (3 dmg resistance to non-magical attacks)
My idea is to go with an Order of the Mutant Blood Hunter, focus on Str and get heavy armor and heavy armor mastery. Coupling the Reconstruction mutagen with the dmg resistance mutagens AND the heavy armor mastery resistances to make a melee centric character that wades in and dishes out some decent dmg that isn't a pure tank but can take some punishment. Also, note that I do know I can't use the mutagen to lvl 7, but it still plays into the concept, but that's about as far as I've gotten with a 'build'. I was also thinking of throwing in Whip Mastery (homebrew weapon counts as a whip at will, bonus action prone sounds pretty useful) but not set on that and haven't really looked beyond what I've described so far.
None of this build is set, I'm open to any and all suggestions, so long as they don't involve multiclassing. I'd like to stick with this concept since it rounds out the party well and sounds like something I'd enjoy playing in and out of combat, but I can be convinced of going with something different if the build sounds fun and interesting.
Thoughts, comments, suggestions?

Blood Rites (original title: The Ghastly Ones) is a 1968 American horror film directed by Andy Milligan. The film centers around three sisters who arrive at their father's house according to his dying wish and are soon brutally murdered one by one.

Plot[edit]

Three sisters, Veronica, Victoria and Elizabeth, receive letters from their late father's lawyer informing them of their father's wish that they spend three nights in his house on an isolated island before his will can be read. They and their husbands William, Richard and Donald are met there by the two maids, Martha and Ruth, and a hunchback named Colin whom the audience has already seen murdering two people at the beginning of the film. While helping with the luggage Colin becomes angry and catches and eats a live rabbit. The remains of the rabbit are later found in Veronica and William's bed, along with a note reading 'Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit'.

Victoria and Robert find that someone has painted a large 'X' in blood on their bedroom door. Robert and Donald go downstairs to investigate, but Donald collapses after being drugged. Robert investigates the cellar and sees someone he recognizes. Shortly afterward, Victoria finds his body hanging by the ankles on the stairs. The next morning, while discussing what happened, Ruth asks Martha if she had tied up Colin that night.

Colin attempts to tell Victoria something but is interrupted by Martha and sent to chop firewood in the cellar with Donald (who is given a leather strap to use on Colin). Donald finds a plank of wood with a bloody 'X' on it, but is attacked from behind, gagged and bound to a workbench before being disemboweled and cut in two by a hooded figure.

At dinner, the guests ask about Donald and Elizabeth's whereabouts. When dinner is served, Elizabeth's severed head is in the serving dish.

William goes into the cellar to investigate and finds a box and a photograph. Colin steals the photo from him, however, and William is then attacked and killed with a pitchfork by the hooded figure. Later, Martha finds Colin with the photo and realizes what it means, but is killed with a hatchet. Colin tries to escape from the killer, but is set alight.

It is revealed that Ruth is in fact Hattie, the fourth and eldest sister, and she had planned to kill the others and blame Colin so that she could claim the inheritance. Colin is still alive, however, and pushes her down the stairs, causing her hatchet to bury itself in her head. The two remaining sisters, Veronica and Victoria, are left staring in disbelief.

Production[edit]

Blood Rites marked Andy Milligan's first color film. In order to find a setting for the film, Milligan scouted for locations where he could film in Staten Island, in which he found an old country estate that was built in the late 1800s. Because of the film's extremely low budget of around $13,000, Milligan held several different roles during production. On top of being the film's writer and director, Milligan also worked as the film's costume designer and created all the costumes himself. The camera equipment used in filming was all owned by Milligan so he didn't have to rent equipment in order to film, this also cut production costs by over $2,000. Milligan also filmed the movie on short ends; using old and leftover 16mm film reels from other local film productions.[citation needed]

The film's gory special effects were limited and had to be used effectively under a limited budget. This included using organs from animals and other practical effects.[1]

Release[edit]

Home media[edit]

The film was released for the first time on DVD by Image Entertainment on January 13, 2004 as a part of a special edition, which also included Seeds of Sin.[2][3]

Reception[edit]

The Ghastly Ones has received almost universally negative reviews from critics. DVD Verdict wrote '[Blood Rites] is the only horror film where the aspects of the filmmaking are far more frightening than the slayings themselves'.[4] It was awarded a score of 0 out of 4 by VideoHound's Golden Movie Retriever, panning the film's budget and perceived lack of talent.[5]TV Guide gave the film no stars out of five, criticizing the film's noticeable no-budget.[6]

Todd Martin from HorrorNews.net liked the film, writing, ' It isn’t perfect by a long shot but it is watchable and is a lot of fun in its own odd way. Give it a shot if you are a fan of Milligan’s or just if you like low budget flicks that are interesting and fun. I dug it and I think if you give it a chance you will too if you don’t take it too seriously.'[7]
