A rotation is a system for ordering your abilities in a way that maximizes your damage, threat or healing. Mastering a rotation will help you to quickly prioritize abilities during actual encounters so that you will always have the highest possible output as a Rage spec Marauder (Sith Warrior.)

Single Target

Single target rotations are designed for maximum damage, threat or healing on one target at a time. Single target rotations are more effective the longer you are able to focus on the same target.

Priority

Execute the following ability priority for optimal damage, threat, or healing on a single target.

  1. Obliterate to proc Dominate
  2. Smash with Dominate and 3x Shockwave
  3. Force Crush to build Shockwave
  4. Vicious Slash with Berserk
  5. Dual Saber Throw if okay to AoE.
  6. Battering Assault or Assault

The key to the Rage spec Marauder priority system is to remember the following:

Sith
  1. Use Battering Assault or Assault if below 7 Rage.
  2. Use Obliterate to activate Dominate .
  3. Use Force Crush to build up the Shockwave buff.
  4. Use Smash when buffed by both Dominate and 3x Shockwave .
  5. Follow the priority list and use higher priority abilities as often as possible.

Multiple Target (AoE)

Execute the following ability priority for optimal damage, threat, or healing on multiple targets.

Priority

Burst Cooldowns

Burst cooldowns are used to increase your damage, threat or healing for a brief period of time.

  • Berserk
    1. Use when at 0x Shockwave to instantly get 3x Shockwave from Berserker .
    2. Maintain as much as possible without wasting Shockwave buffs.
  • Frenzy
    1. Use immediately on every single cooldown after consuming your Fury via Berserk or Bloodthirst
  • Bloodthirst
    1. Use instead of Berserk at the discretion of your raid or party leader. Best followed by Frenzy + Berserk to maximize your personal DPS.

Execute the following ability priority for optimal damage, threat, or healing on a single target.

  1. Gore + Ravage +/- Force Scream
  2. Vicious Throw when possible.
  3. Force Scream with Execute
  4. Massacre to maintain buff and proc Execute
  5. Dual Saber Throw if okay to AoE.
  6. Battering Assault or Assault

The key to the Carnage spec Marauder priority system is to remember the following:

  1. Use Battering Assault or Assault if below 7 Rage.
  2. Maintain the buff from Berserk .
  3. Use Gore and follow with Ravage . Try to squeeze in Force Scream if buffed.
  4. Watch for Slaughter procs to allow for more frequent use of Vicious Throw .
  5. Maintain the Massacre buff to more quickly activate Execute .
  6. Follow the priority list and use higher priority abilities as often as possible.
